UPDATE: THE 5th BLACKPOOL INTERNATIONAL SOUL FESTIVAL.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO EVERYONE ON THE OFFICIAL BLACKPOOL INTERNATIONAL SOUL FESTIVAL GROUP:
It is with great regret, we must now inform you that this year's Soul Festival, planned for the weekend of June 18th-20th, cannot take place due to the ongoing issues presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We have had to make this difficult decision now, as given the huge amount of pre-event planning required, the artists' travel and accommodation arrangements, as well as rehearsing musicians in a timely fashion, means our Festival would be adversely affected.
There is still so much uncertainty, and of course we are also required to take heed of ongoing Government advice regarding INDOOR mass gatherings of any kind being allowed to take place.
As always, we have your safety as our major priority, and we want to bring you an event which can be equally as vibrant and exciting as all our previous ones have been.
Therefore, all tickets already purchased for June 2020 or 2021 will now be automatically rolled over to FRIDAY to SUNDAY JUNE 17th-19th, 2022, by which time we are confident that we will be able to return with the high standard event you expect.
We are currently in the process of finalising all the details of the entertainment for June 2022, and very shortly we will be able to re-confirm the full artist and DJ line-ups here on the Blackpool International Soul Festival Facebook group.
As always, if you have any questions regarding tickets already purchased from the Winter Gardens (Ticketmaster), please send your email to: email@example.com
(Please allow 7-10 working days for your query to be processed).
We are sorry that it's not better news, and of course it goes without saying that your support and understanding is very much appreciated at this very difficult time for all of us.
On a brighter, more positive note, just as soon as we get through this, we can promise you an additional "free of charge to all Blackpool International Soul Festival ticket-holders" event to take in the Winter Gardens.
We will let you know more about this just as soon as we can via social media.
In the meantime, please stay safe, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Winter Gardens as soon as it's safe to do so.
Richard Searling and the Blackpool Winter Gardens team.
Firstly, thanks for your patience and understanding over recent weeks. In these exceptionally difficult times we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the event which was due to take place over the weekend of June 18-20,2021
All tickets already purchased for June 2020 will now be automatically transferred to 2022
We have spent the recent days talking with all the artists who were due to appear this year, and can now confirm that Maxine Brown, Barbara Mason, G C Cameron and Jimmie Delphs have all agreed to appear next year, and, to ensure that it's our best event to date in 2021, I have also secured the services of three more legends of our music : Betty Harris, Darrow Fletcher and Dean Parrish!
So, seven wonderful American acts for us all to look forward to in June 2021!
If you require any further information on the ticketing side of things, please email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be patient whilst your query is dealt with as the venue are currently dealing with other rescheduled events. For their added safety, the team there are all working remotely at the moment, but please be assured that we value your support.
Please note: We will soon be on sale to NEW customers for June 2021 at NEW prices, and we will keep everyone updated on this via our website: www.blackpoolsoulfestival.co.uk
Of course we would have loved to run as planned this June and to welcome you all to one of the most eagerly-anticipated soul weekenders on the calendar, but we are determined to come back stronger than ever next year, when we are all in a better place and ready to celebrate all together, in style.
Sending love and hope to you all,
The Blackpool International Soul Festival team.
